EduPod Offering Tools and Resources To Comic Relief Supporters

By: Jade Lake

Comic Relief is a charity based in the UK with a vision of a just world, free from poverty, and their mission is to drive a positive change through the power of entertainment. One of the ways they achieve such a mission is through the much-anticipated date in the calendar, Red Nose Day.

Red Nose Day is today, Friday 18th March 2022! It is a day whereby people come together and help people live free from poverty, violence and discrimination. We can all make a difference; whether we buy, fundraise, wear a red nose, or donate; it all helps.

As one of the UK’s leading providers of Senior Mental Health Lead Training, Whole-School Technology Tools for Senior Mental Health Leads and a provider of Clinical Supervision, we at Innovating Minds are supporting Comic Relief and Red Nose Day to promote EduPod.

What is EduPod?
EduPod is a new way for Mental Health Leads to plan, manage and evaluate their journey to create a whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing. A whole school approach is about embedding mental health into the school systems, policies and procedures so it becomes a part of the school culture every day. Our work is acknowledged in two Ofsted reports and is recognised for reducing behaviour incidents and significantly lowering exclusion rates.

This Red Nose Day, we have given schools the opportunity to book a demonstration to see how EduPod works and take advantage of a two-week free trial to use the online platform with support from our in house Senior Mental Health Lead specialists. The platform offers a structured process whereby the Senior Mental Health Lead can complete a standardised self-assessment audit tool, identify action plans to move forward and the accreditation system allows the Senior Mental Health Lead to celebrate their successes. It can support all schools, regardless of where they are on their journey to creating a whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing and we are honoured to help support a mentally healthier and happier environment for the whole school community.

How to become a Senior Mental Health Lead
At Innovating Minds, we offer DfE quality assured Senior Mental Health Lead Training. Delivered by clinical experts, the two days of training covers the 8 principles recommended by Public Health England, includes coaching and support, and you will have access to EduPod for 12 months to help audit and implement your whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing. The training courses are suitable for Mental Health Leads that are beginners, those that are familiar with their role, and those that have previously engaged in comprehensive Senior Mental Health Leadership training.
